When Kara thinks about the future, she sees a strong community fueled by strategic partnerships, with programs to support growth and progress to benefit our citizens. Her personal vision extends beyond her own city limits and trickles into communities across the country – which aligns perfectly with the vision of Brighter Day Law. Her dream is to not only be a part of this movement, but to help spearhead it. She believes in giving back, building up, and doing it all for The Kingdom.

As a process-oriented creative, her career path over the past 15 years has been diverse and exciting, introducing her to many different experiences, people, and places. 

From serving in the US Army as a Multimedia Illustrator in Special Operations as a Soldier and Non-Commissioned Officer for 6 years, to being a Fashion Stylist, to working in film and television as a costumer, hair and makeup artist, production designer, and production assistant, to becoming savvy in construction and project management as an interior designer and remodeler, to taking a year hiatus just to reboot, and finally returning to Colorado Springs to once again work as Principal Designer at a local firm, Kara has decided change her career path and industry, once again. 

With a passion for entrepreneurship, a strategic mind, a heart for helping people, an affection for marketing, a huge interest in building a vision, and big plans to impact her city (and beyond), Kara decided to pivot from the norms of interior design to focus on partnering with the enormous vision of Brighter Day Law. 

For anyone who knows her well, they can tell you that, above all else, Kara is a lover and follower of Jesus Christ and her passion for helping others is the driving force behind her life.

Kara has a keen sense for all things beautiful, an affection for neutrals, contrast, and juxtaposition. She finds joy in writing, podcasting, cooking, creating, exploring mountain trails, lifting weights, living a healthy lifestyle, and making memories with her friends and family. A self-proclaimed Modern Bohemian and Essentialist, she is fond of the minimalist lifestyle and quality over quantity. Kara enjoys good music, dreaming big, traveling, starry nights, the west side of Colorado Springs, living the mountain life, and tattoos. A big believer in growth mindset and intentionality, she is constantly seeking to become the best version of herself – to be the daughter and woman God created her to be.
