Jason David Hilton

Jason Hilton is the Lead Attorney at Brighter Day Law. Jason is an experienced litigator with over 6 years of experience as an attorney in the state of Colorado.
Jason attended the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Political Science in 2012. In 2015, Jason earned his Juris Doctorate from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, as part of the graduate research fellowship.
Prior to joining Brighter Day Law, began practicing as a Deputy District Attorney for the seven counties that make up the 13th Judicial District in 2016. Following this, Jason then proudly served as a prosecutor for El Paso County until 2019. Before moving into Family Law, Jason prosecuted and tried a wide range of criminal cases, including traffic, domestic violence, sexual assault, and white-collar cases. This experience has given him the confidence in his litigation abilities and is unafraid to proceed to court if necessary to attempt to achieve the best outcome for his clients.
Jason joined the team at Brighter Day Law because of the firm’s primary focus on children and his desire to serve the needs of families during difficult transitions. Jason enjoys working on dissolution cases in which both parties are committed to a favorable outcome for their children. Ultimately, Jason’s goal is to have a positive impact on his clients and help them finish their case in a healthier place than when they entered.
Outside of the firm, Jason enjoys playing soccer. In his youth, he was a high-level soccer athlete and participated in tournaments in Germany, Austria, Sweden, and Denmark, as well as at Disney World’s Worldwide Sports Complex. Jason is also a huge NFL fan supporting his favorite team, the Detroit Lions.
